Survive Or Thrive?
Survive Or Thrive?

We often talk about what sets Greystone apart from the rest. Whether it’s giving back to the communities we serve, throwing a surprise birthday party for a resident, or bringing someone a treat from their favorite local restaurant, we believe the difference is in the details. The Greystone difference is the difference between either simply surviving, or truly thriving, during your retirement years.
We place great importance on creating an atmosphere where our patients and residents can truly thrive. Our chefs work tirelessly to concoct creative, well-balanced and delicious recipes to serve. Our Activities Directors meticulously plan opportunities for learning such as crafting or cooking classes, outings such as trips to the zoo or Disney World, and social activities like game nights and holiday parties. Research shows a sharp mind results in less mental decline. Keeping the mind active through activities such as these provides quality of life and the chance to continue to thrive.
However, even when not in one of our health centers, our home health services have their own ideas for creating an environment right in our patient’s homes that they can thrive in. We believe that as a person grows and ages, their home should adapt and change with them. There are many home improvements to consider that provide the safety and independence our members deserve such as a shower bench, wider doorways, open floor plans, zero-step entrances, motion sensor lights, lowered microwaves, soft and flexible flooring, remote controlled window coverings and more. Our home health aides have the knowledge necessary to advise our members on what improvements can be done for them to thrive.
The compassionate professionals of the Greystone family are constantly striving to provide the highest caliber of care for our customers. With a combination of empathy and expertise, we are able to create an environment where our patients not only survive, but thrive.
